April Events

Back in 1922 in his poem The Waste Land T.S. Eliot wrote that
"April is the curellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain."
It seems that an abrupt emergence of life can be jarring after a long dead dry period. The GWG remains steady in our pursuit to write, read, and engage all in literary arts. We spring into action this April with two lively events:

At our Open Reading on Friday the 18th we are delighted to welcome Audra Barrett, a Literary agent, as guest presenter. “Find out what books are selling and determine marketplace voices you can fill,” is just one of Ms. Barrett’s career tips. Ms. Barrett is a Prince George County resident who believes in supporting writers in the publishing industry. She has much information and insight to share.
