Author Todd Kliman @ the GWG Event Tomorrow, 7:30pm
The Greenbelt Writers Group meets this Friday, Oct. 15 at The Greenbelt Community Center from 7:30-9:30pm. Our special guest presenter is author/journalist Todd Kliman. He is the wine/food editor of The Washingtonian and author of Native Vine. As usual, there will also be open readings.

Open Reading Tonight
The Greenbelt Writers Group will meet tonight, Friday, Sept. 17 from 7:30-9:30pm at the Greenbelt Community Center. After the Open Reading, members will discuss a new mission statement, create meeting teams for 2011 and address any ideas or concerns anyone has.

We will be having our regular meeting and open reading this Friday, August 20 from 7:30-9:30pm at the Greenbelt Community Center. The meeting will include a discussion of the group's mission and how it can best be of use and of interest to all members. Join us!

Peace Month Program & Open Reading
The Greenbelt Writers Group will be meeting this Friday, June 18 at The Greenbelt Community Center from 7:30-9:30pm. In addition to open readings, we will have a special program, led by Marj Donn. This is Peace month and Marj will lead us in some spontaneous Haiku writing in commemoration of peace.

How and Where Tips On Getting Your Work Published, a talk by John Hayes
As part of our meeting on Friday, May 21 from 7:30-9:30pm, The Greenbelt Writers Group is pleased to present: How and Where Tips On Getting Your Work Published, a talk by John Hayes.
John Hayes will offer suggestions on where and how to send work to publishers. He will discuss the value of rewriting and following publisher guidelines. He will explain how he overcame his fears of rejection and a self-defeating belief that his writing was unique.
John writes plays, poems and short fiction and receives about twenty acceptances a year from the small literary press.
Join us for this talk, our usual open reading, and business meeting at the Greenbelt Community Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

GWG Meeting Tonight 7:30 to 9:30
The Greenbelt Writers Group will meet 3/19 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Greenbelt Community Center. We'll be sharing works from women writers and Irish writers, discussing the theme of this year's anthology, and planning for next month's poetry reading at the New Deal Cafe. Join us!

February Event
Join us at the Greenbelt Community Center on February 19th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. We'll engage in a spontaneous writing activity inspired by quotes from Martin Luther King Jr. in honor of Black History Month, and hold an Open Reading. Hope to see you there!
